B&O Sisters reklam ajansının kurucuları Özge Alkazaz ve Berrin Çakırsoy'un sıfırdan yarattıkları bu marka, bugün İstanbul'un en iyi hot dog'cusu. Yaklaşık bir yıl önce, yeni açıldığında Superfriends'i ziyaret ettiğimde, menüsünde ağırlıklı olarak hot dog bulunuyordu. Bugün ise menüsüne eklediği hamburger çeşitleriyle, Mekanist tarafından Beşiktaş bölgesinin en iyi burgercisi seçilmiş.

Founded by B&O Sisters ad agency owners Ozge Alkazaz and Berrin Cakirsoy, SuperFriends is Istanbul's best hot dog spot. When I first visited SuperFriends a year ago, the brand was still new and had mostly hot dog in its menu. Today, with the added varieties of burgers, SuperFriends has come to be known as one of the best burger places in Istanbul.

Ankaralı bir Çinli...Quick China / The Cool King of China...Quick China

Dünyanın neresine gidersem gideyim, bulmakta sıkıntı çekmeyeceğim iki mutfak İtalyan ve Çin. İtalyan restoranları ülkemizde de ağırlıkta ama nedense güzel Çin restoranı konusunda kıtlık yaşıyoruz. Chinese in Town ve Sushico var, doğru, ama onları daha çok fast food zincirleri olarak görüyorum. Dragon'u severim ama orası da hem pahalı hem de her dakika gidilecek bir yer değil. O yüzden Nişantaşı'ndaki Quick China'yı keşfettiğimizde ne kadar mutlu olduğumu anlatamam. Fiyat kalite paritesi oldukça başarılı, harika bir ambiyans ve inanılmaz zengin bir menü...öyle ki her hafta gitseniz bile yemeğinden sıkılmayacağınız bir yer. 


I just love Asian cuisines. Actually, so much that I would be more than willing to move just to get a chance to eat that type of food every day. Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Malay, etc. all of them. That's why it makes me so upset that we just have a handful of good Asian restaurants. And most of them are fusion and pretty expensive anyways. It was not until we discovered Quick China that I was able to satisfy this hunger of mine.

Hot Dog'lar İstanbul'da... / SuperFriends forever...

Hot dog... "sosisli" değil. SuperFriends Hot Dog markasının sahiplerinden Özge Alkazak beni bu konuda sıkı sıkı tembihledi. Türkiye'de bu anlamda gerçek hot dog yapan pek yer yok. Onun yerine goralı veya sosisli olarak adlandırdığımız, büfelerde yemeye alışkın olduğumuz ekmek arası sosis var. Yani, ince sosis, amerikan salatası ve ekmek üçlüsü. SuperFriends'i sosisçi değil, hot dog'cu yapan da işte buradaki fark...

Today's post is about a hot dog shop. Because it's almost like a commodity to you, you might find the topic boring. In Turkey, however, hot dog, i.e. real hot dog the way you know it, is not usual at all. In fact, I believe we only have one brand, i.e. Ben Franks, that serves it the traditional way. Recently opened SuperFriends Hot Dog, aims to change that and deliver high quality, conventional American hot dogs...
