Her zaman yaptığımız gibi, Paris'e gitmeden, orada deneyeceğimiz yemekler, ziyaret edeceğimiz restoranlar hakkında detaylı bir araştırmaya girdik. Tez yazsam ancak bu kadar yorulabilirdim herhalde. Paris tam bir yemek cenneti. Tıpkı New York'ta olduğu gibi, Paris'te de bir sene boyunca her gün farklı bir restoranda yiyebilirsiniz ve yine de hepsini denemiş olmazsınız. Neyse ki şansım yaver gitti ve harika iki kaynak keşfettim. Birincisi ünlü Conde Nast; diğeriyse parisbymouth diye bir web sitesi. Başta ikisi olmak üzere, bir çok yerden faydalanarak Paris'te muazzam restoranlarda inanılmaz lezzetleri tatma şansını bulduk. Afiyetle okumanız dileğiyle...

As we always do before going on vacation, we did a comprehensive research on restaurants to visit in Paris. I can almost say I spent less time working on my graduation thesis. Paris is the ultimate food paradise. Just like in NY, you could eat at a different restaurant every day for a whole year in Paris and still not have tried them all. Lucky me, I was able to find two great resources that helped me through my painful research. One is the famous Conde Nast and the other one a website called parisbymouth. With the help of the two, as well as other resources, we were able to taste delicious food at amazing restaurants. Bon apetit...

Benim Paris'im / Paris My Way

Istanbul'da yaşamanın en güzel yanlarından birisi Avrupa'ya bu kadar yakın olmamız. Ya da en azından Amerika'lı arkadaşlarım böyle düşünüyor. Bu sayede sadece bir iki günlük izinle Avrupa'da istediğimiz yere gidebiliyoruz. Arkadaşımızın Paris'te evlenmesini de fırsat bilerek biz de Pazartesi ve Salı'yı izin alarak haftasonu için Paris'e uçtuk (hep bunu söylemek istemişimdir :)). İnsanlar İngiltere'yi yağmurlu sanar ama bence rekor Paris'te olmalı. 365 günün 300 günü yağmur yağdığı söyleniliyor. Neyse ki biz en güzel mevsimi olan Ağustos'ta gittik ve neredeyse yağmursuz bir 4 gün geçirmeyi başardık. Her zamanki gibi seyahat yazımızı konaklama, yemek, alışveriş ve gezi olarak böldük. Paris bir yemek cenneti olduğu ve biz de yazacak çok şey bulduğumuz için bu sefer yemek kısmını ayrı bir yazıda yayınlamaya karar verdik. Bu yazı yemek hariç Paris'i kapsıyor ve Champs Elysees, Eiffel, Louvre gibi bilgileri içermiyor.

One of the best sides of living in Istanbul is that we are geographically close to Europe. At least that's what my American friends think :). It gives you the ability to visit anywhere in Europe over a long weekend. When our friend told us she was getting married in Paris, Ozgur and I immediately took the Monday and Tuesday off and booked our flight to Paris. It's fair to say we flew in to Paris for the weekend (I've always wanted to say that :)). As always, this post is divided into sections composed of accomodation, food, shopping, and sights. Since Paris is a food paradise, we ended up trying so much that we decided to talk about the food in a separate post. This one covers everything except for food, and Champs Elysees, and Eiffel, and Louvre...
