Hamdi Restaurant'ta İftara Beş Kala.../ Iftar at Hamdi Restaurant

Geç de olsa bir iftar yemeği yazısı yazmadan geçiremezdim Ramazan'ı. Bir kaç yeri değerlendirdikten sonra İstanbul'un en iyi iftar sofralarından biri seçilen Hamdi Restaurant'ta karar kıldık. Gerek manzara, gerek konum itibariyle çok popüler olan mekan, tarihi camilerle çevrilmiş olması nedeniyle bize Ramazan duygusunu   en güzel şekilde hissettirdi.

We are currently in the time of Ramadan, the holy month of blessing. The time for prayer, fasting, and charity...With the fasting, comes also the iftar, i.e. the breaking of the fast. Many Turkish restaurants prepare menues special to the iftar. Having a lot to pick from, we decided on Hamdi; a restaurant not only popular for its food but also for its location and beautiful view. It's the best place for a tourist to experience the feeling and atmosphere of the fast.

Türkbükü'nde Ege Esintisi...Garo's / Bodrum Turkbuku's Latest Hit...Garo's

Türkbükü bir zamanlar şirin ve sakin bir koydu. Tek tük restoranlar, bir iki otel ve kalabalık olmayan kaldırımlar. Sonra Bebek'e ne olduysa buraya da oldu. Türkbükü inanılmaz popüler oldu; mekan üstüne mekan açıldı, insanlar adım atamaz hale geldi. Sırtlarda yazlığımız olmasına rağmen sahile inmemeye,  yazlarımı başka koylarda geçirmeye başladım. Ta ki bu sene babam bizi Türkbükü'nde yeni açılan bir restorana götürünceye dek...Bana Türkbükü'nü tekrar sevdiren o mekan Garo's.

If you have ever been to Bodrum, you must have heard about Turkbuku. This famous bay is a favorite to the wealthiest and most well known Turkish jet set. The drawback; restaurants, hotels, clubs, and shops on every square inch available. It was not until my dad took us to this newly opened restaurant, that I started going there again. The place that reminded me of why I loved Turkbuku so much...Garo's.

Nusr-Et "Halka Açıldı".../ Legendary Steakhouse Nusr-Et

Nusret Gökçe'yi ve Etiler'de ara sokakta açtığı Nusr-Et Steakhouse'u duymayan kalmamıştır. Ayşe Arman yazdı, Vedat Milor videosunu yayınladı, en son da Ferit Şahenk dayanamayıp %50 ortak oldu, Nusr-Et'i ara sokaktan caddeye taşıdı.İyi bir etobur olmamama rağmen New York'taki steakhouse'ları bile kıskandıracak kalitedeki etleri denemek üzere yeni açılan 270 kişilik dev restorana Cuma akşamı için yerimizi ayırttım.

Despite being only 30 years old, Nusret Gokce is already a legend. After working and learning about meat in Argentina and New York, he founded Nusr-Et Steakhouse, a soon to become the most popular steakhouse in Istanbul. Just a month ago, this small restaurant was replaced with a giant 270 seat place in Etiler on Nispetiye street. To be on the safe side, my husband made a reservation in advance, and on a hot Friday we met up after work to enjoy a feast that would drive any vegeterian crazy.
